Retired District Chief, Scarborough Fire Department, and former member of the Scarborough Central Lions Club and Brighton Lions Club.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Al, in his 83rd year, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer for 11 years. Al was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Al began his career with the Scarborough Fire Department in 1963 and retired as District Chief 30 years later. Al loved being a firefighter and was also an incredibly talented builder and woodworker. His craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting legacy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Alβs life at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m., until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow.
Donations in memory of Al to the Scarborough Health Network Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.
